The CPR Learning Space is an environmentally friendly building. With ground source heating, solar powered electricity, solar heated hot water, grey water and sustainable building materials, the CPR Learning Space is an iconic building.

There are 3 main learning spaces all of which have a unique character:-

• The X-change is the central area which seats up to 100 people.

• The Dome accommodates about 35 people

• The Pod accommodates about 35 people

…and 2 additional small seminar rooms ideally suited for up to 5 people.

All 5 learning spaces have:-

• A wireless IT network running up to 35 tablet PCs and 15 PDAs

• Plasma screens

• A surround sound PA system

• A wide range of scientific, technological and creative resources

• A variety of formal and informal furniture arrangements

• Access to water

Video Conferencing can take place in the X-change and the 2 small seminar rooms

The X-change has projection facilities capable of showing 8 images simultaneously, as well as a rear projection holoscreen. Reality can be suspended for people in this area.

The Dome and the Pod

These 2 rooms can be used interactively for suspended reality scenarios. People in both rooms can communicate with each other using an intercom system, as well as see each other on the plasma monitors. The rooms have ceiling mounted pan, tilt, zoom cameras for remote observation.

Prices (We aim to be as flexible, please contact us if you do not see a pricing option that suits your needs.) Room Hire - £40 per hour - £100 for a Half Day - £200 for a Full Day The Learning Space is available for evening hire, subject to staff availability.

Other staff are available for specialist learning services such as age related simulations, staff training and innovative learning techniques. Staff time can be negotiated separately.

• A day is from 08.30 through to 17.30 (9 hours)

• Coffee and Tea at £1 per head per serving

• Food can be laid on – various menus are available from external caterers.

• A cancellation fee will be charged, if less than a week’s notice is given.
