CPR & Childrens Centres

CPR works closely with the local children’s centre staff, Caroline Perkins and her staff, to achieve a seamless transition between the schools and the earlier settings. Caroline’s team work closely with the SMART team. Many of the goals for Family Services and the delivery of Children’s Centre work are similar to our Extended Services goals. Therefore in many ways our work is complementary. We have termly meetings with Children’s Centre managers and the Head Teachers invited in order to ensure we are all aware of some of the possibilities and potential for development.

Our last meeting was particularly interesting with some good examples of practice from the Children’s Centre managers. The next meeting 22nd May will comprise of some information from the schools extended provision.

Family Information Service – Kerrier

The Family Information Service Outreach Team aims to inform families about the services that are available within their area. In addition we can support Schools and Children’s Centres to deliver the Every Child Matters agenda.
