Cornwall College

Cornwall College is delighted to support the Success Zone as an active partner in the drive to improve the quality of, and access to, education and training opportunities in Kerrier.

In particular, the College is keen to widen access to its excellent vocational resources at Pool and Rosewarne to develop career awareness and aspirations of local young people and the families of which they are a part.

In helping to achieve this, the College is using its current students to work alongside pupils in schools; there are no better ambassadors for the task.  It is also working with colleagues from the Learning Space on a programme for families aimed at developing awareness of the importance of education and training and raising career aspirations.
The College is planning, in partnership with schools with sixth forms, to introduce higher education study alongside A-levels and other programmes, as a way of preparing students for higher level study and to stretch more able students. 

As one of the largest colleges in the UK, Cornwall College is proud to offer a huge diversity and depth of provision, from basic skills to degrees, but this provision is worthless if it fails to reach the people who most need it.  This is where the partnership with the Success Zone comes into its own in fulfilling the mission of the college and the needs of the local community."
