School Improvement
Supporting school improvement is our core business. This is being achieved in a number of ways with some specific work in schools, Learning Mentors, Inclusion provision, attendance initiatives, Nurture group provision in conjunction with the supporting arms of the strategic work -the CPR Learning Space and the SMART multi-agency working group. Check out the following elements of the CPR Success Zone to find out what is being achieved with our schools.
The Training Development Agency's School Improvement Overview document introduces the TDA's School Improvement Planning Framework which was commissioned by the department for Children, Schools and Families to help schools realise and substain the benefits of extended provisions through their planning process, click here to browse this document.

Learning and Research Facilitator 2007 to 2009.
-
To share good practice from our primary and secondary schools, particularly in Behaviour and Attendance but also through Campaign for Learning projects, in the rest of Cornwall.
-
There is the potential, for those interested, to develop the work at Masters level and gain some credits for the work.
-
To publish a document that summarises evidence and good practice in CPR Success Zone from each of the schools in the Zone by July 2008. For projects like the Campaign for Learning where the findings will be of a preliminary nature an indicative report will be great.
Check out the findings from our first meeting on the 21st May.

Exploding the exclusion myth
Pool Business and Enterprise College has challenged the assumption that exclusion works. Disruptive students are not sent home — instead they work in silence, in the school's Inclusion Unit, from 12pm to 5pm, earning the right to return to normal lessons. A year on, the approach is more successful than ever, with standards still rising.
