Nurture Groups in CPR
Cornwall’s first and longest running Nurture Group was set up within the Camborne, Pool and Redruth Success Zone at Rosemellin C. P School in 2003. This was in response to raising School Improvement, behaviour and attendance and a growing demand of identified social and emotional needs occurring in a mainstream setting.
Since then, there have been a further five groups set up and nurturing provision is becoming more high profile across the settings and indeed across the County. The six groups are based at: Rosemellin, Pennoweth, Treloweth, Trevithick, Roskear and St Day and Carharrack.
There are also three County model groups operating in Saltash, Falmouth and Indian Queens. These are area groups and use a slightly different approach taking children from a number of schools in that area.
