Swift Response
The National Picture
Swift response models for delivering improved and integrated working were developed in the period to 2005 through Behaviour Education Support Teams (BEST), In CPR Success Zone the schools pooled funding to develop their own model of this work through the SMART team. Schools comment how much better they feel supported by social care and family services. In the SMART team Bruce Newman and his team have also developed restorative justice programmes to support improving conflict management and solving problems in schools using the restorative principles.
Swift and easy access: web pages can be accessed at www.tda.gov.uk/sea. The pages include tools to implement swift and easy access in extended schools, case studies, useful web links and frequently asked questions.
