Green Screens

The Learning Space has recently invested in Green Screen Technology, some of the latest Video Editing Equipment on the market today. Similar to that used for the weather forecast on the television, the equipment allows students, of all ages, to stitch video footage to any backdrop they want - the possibilities are endless!
Case Study : Summer Challenge 2006
During last year’s Summer Challenge project, a number of Year 6/7 students from the CPR Success Zone were the first to combine drama, story telling, photography and video recording techniques, using the Green Screens hardware and software. When asked, in the final feedback questionnaires, about their favourite part of the week, many of the students mentioned the Green Screen activity.

PDAs

The Learning Space has a range of sensors, used in conjunction with the latest PDAs (Pocket PCs), which can be used for a variety of scientific experiments. We have Sound, Light, Pressure, Humidity, Infrared sensors, and many more!

Tablet PCs

One of the main technological features of the Learning Space is the Tablet PCs. Tablet PCs are fully-functioning laptop PCs but offer the added benefit of being able to use the pen directly on the screen (just as you would a mouse) to do things like select, drag and open files; or in place of a keyboard to handwrite notes and communication. We have a wide range of educational software installed on the tablet PCs, ranging from Video/Sound editing software and Animation Software, to everyday software used in the classroom; such as Easy-Teach, Interactive resources and a whole lot more. We are also a registered RM Software facilitator.
