ICT Training
The ICT Systems Support Team are now running various Microsoft courses for staff within all Schools. James Scott & Glyn Pascoe are now registered as Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT) and are able to offer a wide range of Microsoft Courses. Currently they are training a group of 6 students in obtaining the Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) this consists of two exams and a lot of dedication from the students.

The ICT Systems Support Team now offer Prometric testing facilities at the CPR Learning Space. If you are interested in booking onto an exam, please contact the center directly as we currently only to offer these facilities to internal candidates within schools and to schools / businesses across Cornwall with center authorisation.
30 staff from around the County have now completed the NVQ2 ICT courses being run at the CPR Learning Space, as part of the County’s Workforce Development Bid. Led by Sue Sayer, Glyn Pascoe & Aaron Wilson, staff completed two different courses:-

ITQ for Users helps to develop skills in a range of general software packages. The topics covered included: artwork and imaging software, email, word processing software, spreadsheets and presentation.

NVQ IT Practitioners Level 2 & 3 – aimed at staff responsible for the day to day running of school ICT networks. The topics covered included: security, fault diagnosis, fault rectification, install and upgrade of software, ICT hardware, health and safety, personal and organisational effectiveness.
