Substainable Buildings
The aim of the Environmental Challenge Day is for students to learn about sustainable building design, while being able to experience it and see it all in action in the Learning Space. The activities include:
‘Quiz, based on the different environmental aspects of the CPRLS
‘Behind the scenes’ tour, looking at the environmentally sustainable features of the CPRLS (Solar electricity, Ground Source Heating, Solar-heated hot water, building design and materials, harvested water)
‘Diamond 9’ and Card Sort- aimed at generating discussion and challenging their ideas, as well as embedding the information they had picked up on the tour.
Challenge: To design and create an eco-friendly building.
