A Message from Zelma Hill - chair of the CPR Success Zone
I am delighted to welcome you to the CPR Success Zone’s website. The schools in this area have a long history of positive collaboration and mutual support.
In 2000 we started with an Education Action zone cluster project. This developed the achievement of increased business support for our schools, improved work exploration provision for many of our students, Peer mentoring projects, Paul Hanbury supported us in developing and encouraging the zone schools to use and develop new ways of working.
During 2005 we transformed into the CPR Success Zone with reduced support from the Excellence cluster funding – but a change of focus to Behaviour Improvement project work. Here the focus of work is to support the raising of standards through whole school examination of behaviour and attendance policies, perhaps development of on-site provision for supporting reducing exclusions and in some cases Nurture groups. Other elements of collaborative work developed since 2005 has included the development of Learning Mentor provision, testing of multi-agency work through the School Multi-agency resource team (SMART) and the developments over at the Learning Space.
On behalf of all the Head Teachers in the Zone I thank our partners and collaborative partners for all their input into supporting the improvements to our schools.
