30 staff from around the County have now registered for the NVQ2 ICT courses being run at the CPR Learning Space, as part of the County’s Workforce Development Bid. Led by Sue Sayer, Glyn Pascoe & Aaron Wilson, staff are doing 2 different courses:-
-
ITQ for Users helps to develop skills in a range of general software packages. The topics covered included: security, fault diagnosis, ICT hardware, health and safety, personal and organisational effectiveness.
-
NVQ2 IT Practitioners– aimed at staff responsible for the day to day running of school ICT networks. The topics covered included: artwork and imaging software, email, word processing software, spreadsheets and presentation. CPRLS staff are keen to make the course as effective as possible by being flexible & responsive to participants’ needs. In line with the ethos we promote for all learning, the course is learner-driven and based on clear, shared criteria in a supportive environment. Training & support for the whole group is held monthly, with the additional option of 1 to 1 sessions if needed.
